Dr. Meghan Marnell believes that her clients are the experts in their needs. Meghan's practice is built on collaborative, client-centered care that starts with her clients' questions and ends with a personalized map of recommendations.
Dr. Marnell graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska with her Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She earned both a Master of Arts in psychology and a Doctorate of Philosophy in clinical psychology from Texas Tech University. She then went on to complete a predoctoral internship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, as well as a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical child and pediatric health psychology at Children’s Health in Dallas, TX. Dr. Marnell worked as a consult/liaison psychologist in the endocrinology, gastroenterology, oncology, pain management, solid organ transplant, and obesity clinics at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Marnell moved to Amarillo in 2016 and worked at Texas Tech Physicians doing assessment and therapy with children and young adults in the pediatric specialty clinic. Over the last 10 years, she had the opportunity to help hundreds of young people with chronic medical issues like type one diabetes and collaborated with parents, medical teams, teachers, and counselors. Dr. Marnell became aware of the acute need for psychological testing services in the Texas panhandle. In 2023, she opened her private practice in order to provide psychological testing services for children and adults. Dr. Marnell’s believes in collaborative, personalized, patient-centered care to help people find their direction.
Dr. Marnell has served on the boards of various local non-profits and volunteers at an annual camp for children and teens with type one diabetes. Dr. Marnell grew up in a small town in Nebraska and is married to her husband of 12 years. They have two daughters and a son who are active in soccer, dance, wrestling, and music. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, hiking, reading, watching sports, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Marnell is also a talented knitter and crocheter and you may have seen her at local pop ups and craft markets!
